Amirana Trading cc originally started by the late Mr. Ebrahim Cassim in 1940. The business started as a small family business with father and so Mr. Aboo Cassim as director, buyer and sales. Mr. Aboo Cassim inherited the business in the late 1960’s and handed it to the Cassim brothers in 1989. The business was by then in the 3rd generation (and counting) of the family. The members being Mr. G.H. Aboo; Mr. C.A Baker; Mr. A.A. Cassim. Amirana trading registered in the 1997 as a general dealer and spice merchant. The property was bought by Lonmin Platinum in 2003 – (now Sibanye Stillwater) and the company has full trading rights therein. Amirana Trading cc is ideally situated in the Sibanye property +/- 4 km out of Marikina. Trading and delivering to the mine +/- 30 km’s radius but limited to Marikana and Rustenburg only.
