What are badges?

It isn't easy to find good sellers. How do you tell them apart? Are they trustworthy? Credible?

This is what M2North's badging is all about.

Badges are a great way to help buyers choose the best sellers. Kind of like the badges you used to wear on your school blazer, they are, in essence, endorsements of how sellers do business across a few categories.

Sellers can obtain the following badges:

Blue Chip

Blue Chip Sellers mean business. They know how to play in the Premier League and score every time on service delivery, staying on the ball within the past 6 months. If big business can trust them, then so can you.

Profile Completion

It's frustrating finding the ideal seller but not being able to contact them because they haven't updated their profile since walkmans were still cool. This badge ensures buyers will find up to date contact information, as it's only given to sellers whose profiles are greater than 70% complete. Pulse. Check. This seller is fit to trade.

B2B (Business to Business)

These are sellers who have automated their document distribution, improving speed, accuracy and efficiency. So everything happens faster than the swipe of a credit card at an 80% off sale.

BBBEE

These sellers are uber-compliant when it comes to having all their BEE ducks in a row. They have uploaded all the relevant documents and have the correct status and percentage ownership, enabling you to make informed procurement decisions.

Green

Nobody is completely eco-friendly. The Green Badge is our way of applauding a seller's efforts to make less of a dent in the planet. We give these to sellers who choose any of our electronic distribution methods over snail mail (for example, Electronic Invoice Distribution). We like them, Mother Nature likes them, you will like them.

Products

This badge is given to Premium Sourcing sellers, who have uploaded their full product lists onto our system. This means that you can access their complete product range from a single source, including specs and prices, for up to 2,000 products. You can find specialist vendors with niche products or a seller with a wide range of stock meeting all your requirements -- making the sourcing of products as easy as a one-piece puzzle.

Webstore

This badge indicates that sellers have an M2North webstore. A webstore is like walking into a supermarket and having one aisle with all your favourite products. Sellers with a customised webstore make the entire procurement process (from finding a seller to purchasing products) completely seamless, like spandex cycle shorts.

Just-In-Time (JIT)

Just-in-time, most simply put is having just the right stuff at the right time. It makes companies more efficient and products more consistent. Companies that run JIT are more efficient than a librarian with OCD. For a more detailed description of JIT, try Wikipedia.
