The company was founded in the height of the economical embargo on former South Africa and the safety equipment for the bulk materials handling industry was extremely hard to obtain and very expensive and was mainly imported from the UK. The prime objectives of the company were to locally design engineer and manufacture a comprehensive range of safety and protection equipment as well as a conveyor management system with the aim to increase the availability of operating conveyors thus reducing down time. CT SYSTEMS is an OEM company and as such all the safety equipment, belt protection devices and all other associated equipment has been designed, engineered and manufactured under one roof thus utilizing computerized state of the art high technology on the premises of the company in Benoni Gauteng and there is no other company like CT SYSTEMS in the world. Since its inception over 20 years ago, CT SYSTEMS has manufactured and installed onboard safety systems and belt protection devices on belt conveyors and cable belt conveyors ranging in length from 50m to 23 Km, with an accumulated total of over 1,000,000m. Among CT SYSTEMS main clients are companies such as BHP Billiton, SASOL, ANGLO AMERICAN, DE BEERS, ESKOM and many more. CT SYSTEMS has exported complete systems and stand-alone equipment to various mines and plants to the USA, South America, the Far East, and the Middle East and in the continent of Africa. CT SYSTEMS of Benoni has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001- 2000 emblem from the South Africa Bureau of Standards in 1996.
